Membership

If you have a genuine interest in magic you are welcome to apply for membership of the Society of Irish Magicians.

We invite you to visit as a guest for one meeting to see what an evening with Ireland's oldest Magic society entails.

 As a courtesy we ask you to contact our secretary or president to express your interest. You will find their contact details on our contact page.

Subsequently you will be required to perform a brief audition in front of our members. Don't worry. The audition process for all magic societies is really to establish that you have a genuine interest in the art. Most people in the audience will know how your tricks work so concentrate on the presentation. As a general guideline you should aim to perform 3 tricks and aim to perform for 5 - 8 minutes.

 Ninety percent of applicants are accepted as members on their first audition.

Once passed, you will be required to pay an annual subscription which currently stands at €80.
